poem

hight speed as i look through the visor take aways and pubs past fast
sweat drips down my back heart beats faster than the wheels turning
screams with fists cut full a blood visible scars feel like peace at least
read lights in front time to stop put the brakes on hands can’t move
flash of green then blue the grey repeated and repeated feel burning
I’m back jump tae my feet scream and shout doors shuts skids away
adrenaline runs out fall tae feet starting tae feel weak fists still clenched

[my words lee smillie]
